These officers lead an extraordinary chemical unit that is completely dedicated to protecting our nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Duties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Command CBRN operations during combat\/peacetime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate employment of CBRN Soldiers at all levels of command<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instruct CBRN skills at service schools and training centers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Job training for a CBRN officer includes completion of the CBRN Basic Officer Leaders Course Phase III, where you will learn leadership skills, tactics and operational aspects used in a chemical platoon. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the skills you\u2019ll learn are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>CBRN defense procedures and toxic agent training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing chemical units and serving as a battalion CBRN officer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HAZMAT Operations Certifications (Department of Defense \u2013 accredited)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demolition exposures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Helpful Skill<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Self-discipline, confidence and intelligence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to make quick decisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capable of bearing numerous responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview A Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear officer commands the Army branch that specifically defends against the threat of CBRN weapons and Weapons of Mass Destruction.
