{"id":23,"date":"2024-05-17T13:49:29","date_gmt":"2024-05-17T13:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/arotc1\/?page_id=23"},"modified":"2026-04-29T21:10:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T21:10:16","slug":"customsscholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/arotc1\/customsscholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Customs Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Blue Raider Battalion has several three and four year scholarships we are looking to award to qualified applicants who will begin at MTSU this Fall.&nbsp; Applicants must apply this summer prior to school beginning.&nbsp; If you are interested in competing for one of these scholarships then download our scholarship application and contact us immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eligible to enlist in the TN Army National Guard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>US Citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Between the ages of 17-26<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medically qualified<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet Army physical fitness and body composition requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Officially accepted to MTSU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 2.5 HS GPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain a 2.0 GPA in college<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program with a local Army National Guard or Reserve unit while in college.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once commissioned, 8-year part-time service obligation actively drilling with designated unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tennessee Army National Guard Minuteman Scholarship<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in pursuing a civilian career after college, while simultaneously serving in the Tennessee Army National Guard on a part-time basis, then consider competing for a National Guard Minuteman Scholarship.&nbsp; These scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen or those students with four years remaining in college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/tuition\/\">Tuition<\/a>\/Fees or Room\/Board ($10K per year)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$1200 a year book stipend<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ROTC Cadet stipend each month $420<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Earn $329\/mo drill pay upon contracting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CH 30\/33 Education benefits (if eligible)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TN S.T.R.O.N.G.
