You can select to mark people present (or other status). It automatically adds a Roll Call Attendance item to the grades. This is updated each time you mark someone present or absent. You can select\/deselect the calendars you want to see in the global calendar. You can view the student&#8217;s last date of activity and total activity in the course, as well as user details (including their profile, their course membership information, and you can set a last date attended and view any recent messages you have had with the student.) You can also view the Course Analytics for this student and see their Grade, Weekly Online Activity, and any communication you have had with the student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To email the class, you would go to the Inbox on the global navigation and choose the course to email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To set accommodations, you will do this in the Quiz tool. At the top, it allows you to either enter information or attach a file in the Rich Content Editor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on this page is a Course Summary that has an automatically generated list of all the assessments and modules with due dates in the course. The navigation bar is at the top with levels of navigation that can be edited, which means each course can be different. So, all graded assignments, quizzes, discussions, and attendance are listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create assignment groups that organize the assessments by type and assign them a percentage of the total score, if you want weighted grades. This feeds directly to the grades area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create assignments with similar options to those in D2L. This includes whether it is graded, the type of submissions that are acceptable, file restrictions, Turnitin integration, who can see it, date restrictions, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once an assignment is created, you can add a rubric by selecting it and choosing the button Create Rubric or Find Rubric below the assignment description. You set up the basic quiz information and then <strong>Build <\/strong>the quiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The basic quiz info includes point value, assignment group, how to display the grade (points\/percentage), enabling anonymous grading or anonymous instructor annotations, and assigning access. Once added, you can attach a rubric at this level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Build <\/strong>part of the quiz includes multiple tabs. This can only be done in the Modules area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select to <strong>Edit <\/strong>the module, choose the <strong>Requirement <\/strong>button, and select whether they must <strong>Complete all<\/strong> or <strong>Complete one<\/strong>. There is an option to check &#8220;<em>Students must move through the requirements in sequential order<\/em>&#8220;. Below, choose the items and what the student needs to do to complete them. (For example: Mark done, Submit, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using the Requirements provides a view for students in the Modules that shows what they have completed, so they can view their progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make sure future content doesn&#8217;t open before they have completed the requirements, you will need to choose to apply a <strong>Prerequisite <\/strong>based on the completion of the previous requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also set dates on the modules to keep them from working too far ahead. Content will not open until the specified date, even if they completed the requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can only set requirements and prerequisites on modules and not on specific content items or
