You need to Make It Count when you meet with your advisor and plan your schedule for each semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is essential that your major and minor are officially declared and noted in your student record. If you have been planning to declare or change a major or minor, but have not yet done so, you should consult with your academic advisor immediately to make the official declaration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Financial aid is initially awarded based on the assumption that undergraduate students will enroll full-time and graduate students will enroll half-time in eligible coursework<\/strong> during the fall and spring semesters. Then, before financial aid is disbursed, it will be adjusted based on actual enrollment in eligible coursework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your financial aid award requires that MTSU calculate for you a cost of attendance (COA). Your COA will be based on the eligible hours you are enrolling in\u2014that is, the number of hours you are enrolling in that apply toward your officially declared program of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Remember that dropping or not attending your courses can negatively impact your eligibility for current and or future aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s important that you discuss outstanding degree requirements with your advisor when you enroll for next semester\u2019s classes.
