{"id":26,"date":"2024-07-30T19:16:31","date_gmt":"2024-07-30T19:16:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/dualenrollment\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2026-04-23T12:52:53","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T12:52:53","slug":"grants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/dualenrollment\/grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Dual Enrollment Grant\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For complete information regarding the Dual Enrollment Grant, please visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegefortn.org\/dualenrollment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grant website at TN.gov<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>The grant application must be completed&nbsp;<strong>each academic year<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No exceptions can be made to the grant deadline established by the state.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The grant is not need-based; any eligible student can receive it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must be able to prove Tennessee residence in order to be eligible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The grant can only be applied toward lower-division (1000-2000 level) courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The grant can be used during the summer semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Dual Enrollment Grant covers the entire&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/tuition\/\">tuition<\/a>&nbsp;of a student\u2019s first five classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In order to keep receiving the grant after the first semester, students must maintain a&nbsp;<strong>2.0 GPA<\/strong>&nbsp;in all college&nbsp;classes taken while receiving the grant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit hours and GPA earned in Dual Enrollment classes do not count toward attempted hours and&nbsp;GPA for the HOPE Lottery Scholarship, but may count toward the student\u2019s undergraduate attempted hours&nbsp;and GPA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beginning with a student\u2019s sixth grant-eligible course, additional grant funding is available at the rate of&nbsp;$100 per credit hour.
