Campus Community Kickoff Unites MTSU in Momentum for True Blue Fusion

More than 225 MTSU faculty and staff gathered on December 16th for the True Blue Fusion Campus Community Kickoff to celebrate the launch of the university’s transition from Banner HR and Finance to Oracle Cloud. The Student Union Ballroom was filled with colleagues from every division, reflecting the cross-campus partnership driving this multi-year effort. Festive décor, True Blue Fusion swag, holiday treats, and a visit from Lightning set the tone for progress and collaboration as the university prepares for the major modernization of its administrative systems.

Charting the Road Ahead

Provost Mark Byrnes, Interim Vice President for Business and Finance Drew Harpool, and Chief Information Officer Yvette Clark outlined the significance of the upcoming transition and the key role campus engagement will play throughout 2026. Representatives from MTSU’s implementation partners, Huron and Oracle, also provided an overview of the project structure, the phased timeline, and the new tools and capabilities coming with Oracle Cloud.

The kickoff highlighted how True Blue Fusion will streamline processes, strengthen data integrity, and support students, faculty, and staff with a more modern, connected technology environment. Attendees also enjoyed a live demonstration of the new system’s dashboard and reviewed insights gathered from recent stakeholder sessions.

Staying Connected

The True Blue Fusion website is the central source for updates, resources, FAQs, training materials, and information for the project, including the recorded video of the meeting and PowerPoint slides below:

The True Blue Fusion Project team encouraged attendees to share the website and video with colleagues who were unable to attend and to stay engaged as new tools and information become available.

As MTSU moves into the next phase of the project, the kickoff reinforced a shared sense of momentum and collaboration. With strong leadership support and campuswide participation, True Blue Fusion is positioned to make 2026 a year of meaningful progress!
