While core teaching, advising, and student management activities will continue to take place in familiar systems like Banner and Canvas,\u202f<strong>faculty will interact with new tools for&nbsp;human resource&nbsp;self-service&nbsp;and financial processes<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of&nbsp;True Blue&nbsp;Fusion is not to change\u202f<em>what<\/em>\u202ffaculty do&nbsp;but to improve\u202f<em>how<\/em>\u202fthey interact with the university to do it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Will&nbsp;Change for&nbsp;Faculty?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With True Blue Fusion, faculty will use&nbsp;Oracle&nbsp;Cloud&nbsp;in place of Banner&nbsp;for&nbsp;HR&nbsp;and financial activities. These updates are designed to streamline processes, reduce redundancy, and&nbsp;improve&nbsp;visibility into&nbsp;the&nbsp;information&nbsp;that&nbsp;faculty already manage today.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key&nbsp;areas&nbsp;in Oracle Cloud&nbsp;that will&nbsp;impact&nbsp;faculty&nbsp;include:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1791\" height=\"662\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/fusion\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/2026\/04\/fusion-facultychanges.png\" alt=\"Graphic of all faculty impacts for the Fusion project.\" class=\"wp-image-1386\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/fusion\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/2026\/04\/fusion-facultychanges.png 1791w, https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/fusion\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/2026\/04\/fusion-facultychanges-768x284.png 768w, https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/fusion\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/2026\/04\/fusion-facultychanges-1536x568.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1791px) 100vw, 1791px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Travel<\/strong><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>Faculty will&nbsp;submit&nbsp;travel expenses and receipts and track reimbursement status directly in Oracle Cloud.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Grants<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;Faculty will track grant funding, manage project expenses, and support sponsored program activities in one system.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Self-Service Tasks:&nbsp;<\/strong>Faculty will update personal information, view pay slips and W\u20112s, and&nbsp;submit absences through Oracle self\u2011service.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Procurement:&nbsp;<\/strong>Faculty will use a streamlined process for creating requisitions,&nbsp;participating&nbsp;in sourcing events, and capturing receipts within a single platform.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Contracts:&nbsp;<\/strong>Faculty will eventually engage in contract renewal processes, with tools currently in prototype testing.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These activities already exist today\u2014True Blue Fusion brings them together into\u202fone integrated system\u202fwith improved workflows and visibility.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is Not Changing?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>True Blue Fusion does\u202f<strong>not<\/strong>\u202fchange:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teaching responsibilities&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Course delivery or instructional tools&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student records or learning management systems&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty will continue to use\u202f<strong>Banner and Canvas<\/strong>\u202ffor teaching and&nbsp;student focused&nbsp;work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When Will Faculty Be Trained?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty training will&nbsp;begin closer to&nbsp;go live, in late 2026,&nbsp;and will continue&nbsp;after&nbsp;go&nbsp;live in January 2027.&nbsp;Training is\u202f<strong>not a&nbsp;one-time&nbsp;event<\/strong>. Faculty will have access to multiple learning options, including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Live&nbsp;instructor-led&nbsp;sessions&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canvas based, self-paced<s>,<\/s>&nbsp;training modules&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step-by-step&nbsp;guides (printable and embedded in the system)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In system&nbsp;help and reminders&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Support will be available;&nbsp;no one is expected to remember everything at once.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the University Is Preparing&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;True Blue&nbsp;Fusion team is actively partnering&nbsp;with\u202fAcademic&nbsp;Affairs\u202fto ensure faculty perspectives are considered as new processes are designed. Feedback from campus forums and engagement sessions continues to shape training, communication, and support plans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll&nbsp;see ongoing outreach through:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Campus forums and targeted sessions&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faculty specific&nbsp;digital signage&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Updates on the&nbsp;True Blue&nbsp;Fusion website&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As&nbsp;go live&nbsp;in January 2027&nbsp;approaches, communication and training opportunities will increase.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to Remember&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>True Blue Fusion changes\u202f<strong>how<\/strong>\u202ffaculty complete certain tasks\u2014not\u202f<strong>what<\/strong>\u202fthey\u2019re&nbsp;responsible for&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Training will be&nbsp;timely, flexible, and ongoing&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support will be available before, during, and after&nbsp;go&nbsp;live&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>True Blue Fusion is about creating smoother, more transparent processes&nbsp;so faculty can spend less time navigating systems and more time focused on teaching, research, and service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have&nbsp;questions?
