During this campus-wide update, project leaders shared crucial information about MTSU’s transition to Oracle Cloud and highlighted several key milestones as the university moves closer to go-live in January 2027.

The forum opened with a project timeline update from Yvette Clark, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, who provided an overview of the university’s progress and the major activities planned between now and implementation. Attendees were reminded that True Blue Fusion is more than a technology replacement. It is a university-wide transformation designed to modernize the systems and processes that support finance, human resources, payroll, procurement, and other administrative functions.

A significant portion of the forum focused on cutover freeze dates, a key step in preparing for the transition from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud. Project leaders explained that freeze dates are planned periods when certain activities in existing systems will be temporarily limited to ensure critical data can be accurately migrated into Oracle. Campus employees were encouraged to monitor the dedicated Freeze Dates webpage for the most current information and to watch for direct communications related to their areas.

The Payroll team also provided additional details about the upcoming transition to biweekly pay for hourly employees, including classified staff, student workers, and graduate assistants. The presentation reviewed how pay periods will change, how timecards will be submitted and approved in Oracle, and what employees can expect regarding benefits deductions under the new payroll schedule. The team emphasized that while the timing of benefits deductions will shift for eligible employees, the overall monthly benefits cost will remain unchanged.

Attendees received an overview of the university’s True Blue Fusion training strategy, which will begin this fall with pilot training and continue through multiple waves of end-user training. The project team introduced the variety of learning resources being developed, including instructor-led training, videos, job aids, open labs, computer-based learning, and Oracle Guided Learning (OGL), an in-system support tool designed to provide assistance directly within Oracle Cloud.

The forum also highlighted the launch of MTSU’s second Campus Readiness Assessment, a brief survey intended to help the project team measure awareness, engagement, and preparedness across the university. The feedback collected will help shape future communications, training, and support activities as MTSU prepares for go-live.

As the project enters its final months before implementation, campus engagement remains critical to the success of True Blue Fusion. Faculty and staff are encouraged to stay informed by visiting the project website regularly, reviewing training resources as they become available, and participating in upcoming readiness activities.

True Blue Fusion is MTSU’s initiative to implement Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), creating a modern foundation for the university’s administrative operations and supporting MTSU’s long-term strategic goals.

Thank you to everyone who joined the True Blue Fusion Summer Campus Forum on August 19, 2026.
