We posted today public notice of our intention to again petition the Tennessee Historical Commission for a waiver that would allow us to rename Forrest Hall, the building that houses our Army ROTC detachment.
You may recall that our Board of Trustees, , voted unanimously to support my desire to remove the name of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest from the structure, which I feel distracts from the values, goals and priorities that we share as a modern, inclusive and comprehensive university.
