The Board will consider the committee\u2019s recommendation at its June 11th\u00a0meeting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pending the board\u2019s final approval, Dr. Doss will officially assume her new position on July 15, 2024. We also wish all the best to Ms.\u00a0Sarah Sudak, who has served as the interim Vice President this past year. Sara will retire on May 31st, and I invite you to join me in expressing our heartfelt gratitude for her many years of dedicated service to our university.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the interim period between Sara&#8217;s retirement and Dr. Doss&#8217;s assumption of her new role, Dr. Danny Kelley has graciously agreed to take on some of the division&#8217;s administrative functions until Dr. Doss&#8217;s start date.<\/p>\n<p>Starting Monday, June 3, 2024, Dr. Kelley will provide day-to-day operations management for Student Affairs as well as signature authorization on all purchasing needs, including requisitions and purchasing cards, administrative and clerical hiring requests and approvals, EPAF approvals, leave requests, and travel requests. We are currently working to facilitate these changes in the appropriate systems. I am truly grateful for Dr. Kelley\u2019s willingness to take on these responsibilities during this transition.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kelley will report directly to the president&#8217;s office during this interim period. I want to express my deepest appreciation to all of you for your unwavering commitment to our institution and the students we serve.
