It builds dreams.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Private donor support for public higher education institutions has grown in importance as state funds have tightened over the years. Our alumni base and friends always answer the rallying call for our Blue Raider family to invest in the people and programs that define the character of MTSU.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I continue to be amazed and greatly appreciative of the continued financial support for our institution from our thousands of alumni around the world, our host of community and industry partners, and the many friends of the University who value our contributions to this great community. They epitomize what it means to be True Blue, and their generosity is critical to the success of the generations of Blue Raider scholars to come.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Some highlights from the past year.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> We raised more than <\/span><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">$14 million from 7,600+ donors<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. The College of Basic and Applied Sciences had the largest dollar increase, generating more than $1.6 million. The College of Behavioral and Health Sciences nearly doubled its FY 2024 totals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Athletics and its Build Blue Campaign generated more than <\/span><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">$4 million for various programs and facility needs.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> We received about <\/span><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">$1 million in new planned giving commitments.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Our <\/span><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">True Blue Give program set a new record<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for this three-day campaign in February.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> We received a <\/span><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">unique gift from the family of Trevor Hornsby,<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> who honored his memory with a scholarship dedicated to students who have lost a parent(s).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Making a monetary gift to MTSU doesn&#8217;t just pay the bills or maintain the status quo.
