Economics, B.B.A.

The Economics Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) is offered by the Jones College of Business at MTSU.

Economists analyze data and consumer behavior to forecast trends in the financial world. Creative thinkers eager to understand the world around them can use an Economics degree to open doors to a variety of sectors — from business and government to education and nonprofits. Graduates can work in the field of microeconomics, which focuses on individual firms and consumers, or macroeconomics, which analyzes national income and growth.

Highlights:

  • Economics B.B.A. graduates have an average starting salary of $60,000
  • Minors offered in Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate
  • MTSU has master's and doctorate-level Economics degrees available
  • Program offers curriculum flexibility to tailor your degree to meet your personal career interests
  • Jones College is one of the top 1.5% of business schools in the world

A major in Economics leading to the B.B.A. degree requires 50 percent of the major hours to be completed in residence at MTSU. The program below includes a Business Administration minor. An alternate business minor may be chosen, but it may require total hours for graduation to exceed 120.
