Graduates leave witha strong foundationfor careers in theatre, musical theatre, film, and related performance fields. MURFREESBORO, Tenn. —鶹Ƶ’s campus has been bustling with creative activity this summer as almost 300 rising 11th and 12th graders from across the state showcased their artistic skills at this year’s recently concluded TennesseeGovernor’s School for the Arts.

Auditions arerequiredforAdmission to the B.F.A. degree program.

All students applying for this programare required toaudition in person or virtually. Auditions will include the following:

Two contrasting monologues, aheadshotand a resume.

Please prepare two contrasting monologues from contemporary or classic plays (one comedic and one dramatic, or two pieces that clearly contrast in tone or style). The combined performance time should not exceed three minutes. All monologues must be fully memorized andreasonably appropriate to your age range. Selections must come from published stage plays and should not rely heavily on dialect.

Auditions for 2027-2028 and beyond will be in February/Marcheach Academic Year
