  {"id":88,"date":"2024-08-09T16:50:27","date_gmt":"2024-08-09T16:50:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/resources\/?page_id=88"},"modified":"2026-04-17T13:30:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T13:30:25","slug":"gradesum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/resources\/gradesum\/","title":{"rendered":"Online Grading Summary Sheet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The following is a summary of the steps to grade online using PipelineMT:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/pipelinemt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PipelineMT<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Faculty, Left menu<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong><em>Required Reporting\/Grading<\/em><\/strong> select <strong>Final Grades<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the current <strong>Term then Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Course Title &#8211; CRN<\/strong>\u00a0from drop box and then\u00a0<strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Written instructions and grade reporting requirements are emailed to all primary instructors prior to the beginning of each final grade reporting cycle from <a href=\"mailto:records@mtsu.edu\">records@mtsu.edu<\/a>.\u00a0 Please use the most current intructions. View the instructions and your list of students for the course you selected. A final grade must be entered for each student. The informational message only indicates the changes you made were successful; however, it doesn&#8217;t indicate if a grade for a student has been omitted. Please review your final grade roster carefully to ensure a grade has been submitted for each student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter grades in the\u00a0<strong>Grade<\/strong>\u00a0column. If a &#8220;W&#8221; (withdrawn) or &#8220;NC&#8221; (audit) is already posted in the\u00a0<strong>Grade<\/strong>\u00a0column, then no additional entry is needed for that student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a student withdrew from the University after the deadline to receive a grade of &#8220;W,&#8221; the student can only be graded with a grade of &#8220;W&#8221; or &#8220;F&#8221; which will be your only choices in the drop box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you previously reported the last date of attendance on an Unofficial Withdrawal\/Attendance Reporting Roster, the date will show in the\u00a0<strong>Last Attend Date<\/strong> column. According to University policy, if the student never attended or stopped attending and did not return to class, a grade of &#8220;F&#8221; should be reported and the last date of attendance must be provided. <em><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: All last date of attendance submissions must be followed up with submitting the source documentation for the date. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/one-stop\/lda\/\">https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/one-stop\/lda\/.<\/a><\/em>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Submit<\/strong>\u00a0button after you have entered a grade for each student displayed on the page. You must submit each set of 50 students if you have more than 50 students enrolled in the course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check\u00a0<strong>Grade<\/strong>\u00a0column to see what grades are posted. If you still have a drop box, then a grade was not submitted for that student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After you have completed the current course, then select a different <strong>CRN Selection<\/strong>\u00a0at the bottom or\u00a0<strong>Logout<\/strong>\u00a0if finished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grades are posted to a student&#8217;s record each night once grading begins. Adjustments of grades can be made during the day if you realize you made an entry error. You can tell if a grade has been posted to a student&#8217;s record when a &#8220;Y&#8221; displays in the Rolled column.
