AMP WORKS Sub-Committee
AMP Works is a sub-committee of the Advisor Mastery Program and is responsible for designing and implementing ongoing educational opportunities for academic advisors, ensuring they remain equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support student success. This subcommittee oversees the development of workshops that focus on both skill-building and knowledge-building, covering essential topics such as technical proficiency, academic advising best practices, legal and ethical considerations, and engagement and inclusion in academic advising. Through the coordination of these training opportunities, the subcommittee fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence, ensuring that academic advisors remain engaged, informed, and prepared to meet the evolving needs of students. 
Workshops are offered twice a month with varied modalities, allowing for flexible participation. Most sessions award one point per workshop, unless otherwise specified. Professional Development workshops applicable for academic advisor progression will be identified as such in the title and description.

AMP READS Sub-Committee
AMP Reads program is a sub-committee of AMP designed to foster professional growth, collaboration, and engagement among academic advisors through the exploration of nonfiction literature. This initiative encourages advisors to read and discuss books focused on topics such as student success, higher education, leadership, and personal or professional development. AMP Reads provides a supportive environment for thoughtful dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and the practical application of knowledge gained from the readings to advising practices. By participating, advisors enhance their skills, build connections with colleagues, and contribute to a culture of lifelong learning within the advising community.
AMP Reads is offered once a month, and each meeting is worth 1 point.

AMP CONNECTS Sub-Committee
AMP Connects is a sub-committee of AMP dedicated to fostering relationships across advising centers and the broader university community. Through a variety of engaging events—including networking gatherings, social events, Lunch & Learns, mentorship, and much more — AMP Connects creates opportunities for advisors and university professionals to build connections, share knowledge, and collaborate in meaningful ways. By bringing together individuals from diverse areas of campus, AMP Connects strengthens professional relationships and enhances the collective impact of advising on student success.
AMP Connects events will be offered once a month and will generally be worth 1/2 point (unless otherwise stated).

AMP SCHOLARS Sub-Committee
AMP Scholars is a sub-committee of AMP dedicated to advancing scholarship, research, and professional contribution within academic advising. The group supports advisors in developing and sharing their expertise through publications, conference proposals, and engagement with professional organizations and journals. AMP Scholars fosters a collaborative environment that encourages inquiry, peer feedback, and continuous learning while helping elevate the visibility and impact of advising work.
The committee provides guidance and structured support for writing initiatives, proposal development, and submission processes, helping advisors translate their experiences and innovations into scholarly and professional contributions. In addition, AMP Scholars coordinates and promotes advising award opportunities aligned with NACADA, assisting with nominations and recognition efforts that celebrate excellence in the field. Through these efforts, AMP Scholars empowers advisors to grow as practitioner-scholars, contribute to the broader advising community, and strengthen a culture of scholarship across campus.
